Kevo

For over thirty years Kevo has been inspiring listeners with his creative approach to hand drum percussion. His credits include work with over fifty ensembles as well as sessions in the studio. He is a master of the Congas, Bongos, and bells as well as Brazilian instruments such as Berimbau, Cuica, Tamborim and Pandeiro.

 He is also a gifted teacher:

“I have found that teaching is the greatest way to give back this gift I’ve been given. Rhythm is as essential to life as the air we breathe. I believe we are all musicians, we just have to find the instrument with which we are most comfortable.”

 Kevo has worked in the Mental Health and Substance Abuse Counseling field since 1974. The qualities of compassion and caring derived from this work with others are immediately evident to all who hear him perform.
