Fred Lieder and I continue are exploration of Chamber music without borders
I am, like every other musician on this planet, suddenly without any performances whatsoever. This is a profound challenge for all of us - both performers and audience. I will be posting many videos and will be live streaming shows until things hopefully return to some version of the status quo. If you see things you like here or on my YouTube page, any contribution is humbly and gratefully accepted. My Venmo is - @Peter-Fields-7 and my Cash App is $PeterSWDC.
I am very excited to announce the release of a new recording project - There's a Way Through the Darkness - songs for cello and guitar - with cellist Fred Lieder. It is a collection of 12 original compositions - six by Fred and six by me. It is available for purchase at CDBaby.com.
I am happy to be an artist in residence at Culture House DC. I currently host a monthly showcase that is designed to bring experienced professionals and aspiring new artists together to create an even more vibrant SW Arts scene. For more info go tohttps://www.culturehousedc.org/home
Peter Fields has spent a lifetime creating music for the guitar - both solo and with many other instruments. His playing creates bridges from classical to Jazz to World Music to Pop and beyond.
With over 40 years of performing and teaching music professionally, I am able to provide the highest quality and most effective musical services around. I have performed across the US and in Europe and have received national airplay and distribution for many of my projects. My solo guitar repertoire covers classical, jazz, Latin jazz and popular standards as well as my own compositions. I have performed for literally thousands of private events and given concerts ranging from intimate house concerts to major halls and festivals.
My teaching style is very creative and tailored to the personality and goals of each student. My classical training gives me exceptional knowledge of the mechanics of the instrument, while my experience performing many styles of music allows me to teach to each person's musical taste.
